: Fresh tumor specimens were obtained with informed consent from patients who underwent surgical resection of primary HCC at the Department of Surgery, Queen Mary Hospital, The University of Hong Kong. The study was approved by Institutional Review Board and written consent was obtained from patients prior to their inclusion.The Animal work was approved by the Committee on the Use of Live Animals in Teaching and Research (CULATR) of The University of Hong Kong.
