: We acknowledge the support of the Government of Canada’s New Frontiers in Research Fund (NFRF), [NFRFR-2021-00161] to , a focus group and fieldwork 2022. This project, “Decolonizing Film Festival Research in a Post-Pandemic World”, was granted University of Regina Research Ethics Board Certificate of Approval REB# 2022–057 (Nominated Principal Investigator Sheila Petty). Research for this chapter also draws work developed through Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada Partnership Development Grant #890-2020-0102.
