: To generate iPSC from SOD1 and C9orf72 mutated patients, we established a fibroblast collection from ALS patients. Skin biopsies were obtained from French ALS patients. The study was conducted in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki and approved by an independent ethics committee (“<i>Comité de Protection des Personnes Île de France VI</i>”). This trial is registered with EudraCT, number 2011-AO1120-41. Fibroblasts carrying the TARDBPG348C mutation were obtained from the Erasmus Hospital (Brussels, Belgium). The study was conducted in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki and was approved by an independent ethics committee (“<i>Comité de Protection des Personnes Île de France II</i>”, DC 2011-534). Written informed consent was obtained from each patient. For control subjects, skin fibroblast cultures were obtained from the Centre de Ressources Biologiques (CRB) of Lyon (France). A statement of all biological samples was made according to French laws formulated by the Research Ministry. For neuropathology analysis on ALS patient spinal cord sections, ALS patients were enrolled in a brain donation program declared by the Ministry of Research and Universities, as requested by French laws. An explicit consent was signed by the patient himself, or by the next of kin, in the name of the patient, in accordance with the French Bioethical Laws.
