: Blood samples were collected from AC patients and healthy donors under the Ethics Committee's approval at Ludwig-Maximilians-University (LMU), Munich, Germany (Project no: 20-1061), and informed written consent was obtained. In addition, human heart ventricular tissues were collected from body donors at the Institute of Anatomy and Cell Biology, LMU, Munich, Germany. Written informed consent was obtained from the female body donor for the use of tissue samples in research. The body arrived within 17 h after decease and was free of any cardiac disorders. The pemphigus patient gave written consent for research use. A positive vote of the Ethics Committee from the Medical Faculty of the University of Marburg (Az 20/14) was given.
: Animal handling, breeding and killing were performed under the approval of regulations by the regional government Upper Bavaria (Gz. ROB-55.2-2532.Vet_02-19-172).
