: All the experimental procedures involving animals were conformed to the Animal Welfare Act Guide for Use and Care of Laboratory Animals, and were approved by Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC), Fudan University, China. All animals were housed under specific pathogen-free (SPF) conditions at a stable temperature of 24 °C. The male mice were chosen because of the variables (uncertain hormone changes et al.) in female mice. The mice were euthanized by intraperitoneal (i.p.) administration of pentobarbital sodium (50 mg/kg body weight) then the aortic arteries were harvested for further examination. All procedures performed in studies involving human samples were in accordance with the ethical standards of the national research committee and with the 1964 Helsinki Declaration and its later amendments or comparable ethical standards. The study was approved by the Ethics Committee of Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital, Sun Yat-sen University (Registration No. 202214) and The Fifth Affiliated Hospital of Zunyi Medical University (Registration No. 2021ZH0054).
