: The intervention and its research and evaluation design were approved by the Institutional Review Board at the Ethics and Scientific Review Committee of the Sierra Leone Ministry of Health and Sanitation. There were no direct financial incentives or compensation made to TBAs, health facility staff or district health management team (DHMT) members participating in the project. Rebranded TBAs and program participants were reimbursed the costs they incurred to travel to project meetings.
