: This study was submitted to the responsible Brazilian authority Sistema de Autorização e Informação em Biodiversidade (SISBIO) of the Instituto Chico Mendes de Conservação da Biodiversidade (ICMBio), and approved by permission nº 47.615. Because our experimental animal is an invertebrate, according to the Brazilian law Arouca, nº 11.794/2008, there was no need for submission to Comissão de Ética no Uso de Animais (CEUA/USP). We also considered the recommendations made in the Guidelines for the Use of Animals (ASAB Ethical Committee/ABS Animal Care Committee 2025).
