: for the isolation and experiments involving primary human hepatocytes was obtained from the National Research Ethics Service (King’s College Hospital LREC (LREC 01-016). For blood donations from healthy volunteers, an amendment to these ethics was allowed (LREC 01-016 amendment 1 2014). Organs are donated through the National Health Service Blood and Tissue (NHSBT) and offered for hepatocyte transplantation following decline for solid organ transplantation with appropriate written consent in place for clinical and research use.
