: JML and SJY designed the studies and performed most of the experiments. RNH performed the ITT and GTT studies. LWCC and XYL isolated the primary hepatocytes and performed the glucose output assays. TZ performed FACS and luciferase reporter assay and bioinformatics analysis. HJL performed the characterisation of M1 and M2 Exos from BMDMs and assisted with the RNA extraction and miRNA qPCR assays.
