: The protocol of Mozambique DHS 2022–23 was prepared following the recommendations of the National Committee for Bioethics for Health (CNBS). The protocol was prepared by the National Statistics Institute (INE) in collaboration with the Ministry of Health (MISAU), the National Institute of Health (INS), and the ICF. The protocol was approved by the CNBS, in December 2021 under the Registration number 78/CNBS/2021, and by the ICF Institutional Review Board. A written informed consent was obtained from the participants or their guardians before the survey.
