: In order to run the examples shown it is necessary to install the FEM software Firedrake, the python package for wave propagation spyro, and the IBM optimizer ILOG CPLEX. The containerization technology Docker (Merkel et al. ) was employed to create an image with all necessary software installed, and it can be run in a computational environment isolated from the host machine. A Docker image with the computational environment used to generate these results was made available at the repository . Most software is open source and can be promptly downloaded, except for the IBM ILOG CPLEX optimizer. IBM ILOG CPLEX is available either commercially or under an academic license for research purposes. The scripts used for generating the input files and running the simulations with instructions can be found in the repository .
