: This study was performed in line with the principles of the Declaration of Helsinki. Approval was granted by the Research Ethical Committee (REC) of the Riphah Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (ref. no. REC-RIPS-2023/01). After anesthetizing mice using a cocktail of xylazine (9 mg/kg) and ketamine (90 mg/kg) intra-peritoneally, mice were decapitated following AVMA guidelines. All efforts were made to minimize their suffering.
