: The study was approved by the Ethics Committee on Animal Use (CEUA) of the São Paulo State University (Unesp), School of Dentistry, Araçatuba, São Paulo, Brazil (Authorization Protocol No. 0251–2021; Certificate No. 264–2024). The experiments were conducted in accordance with the Brazilian Guidelines of the National Council for the Control of Animal Experimentation (CONCEA— ) and the European Directive 2010/63/EU. All procedures followed the ARRIVE guidelines. Anesthesia was performed with ketamine, and all efforts were made to minimize animal suffering.
