: Post-mortem brain and liver samples as well as serum samples of living subjects were obtained from the Institutes of Legal Medicine Bonn, Duesseldorf, Essen, Cologne, and Rostock. For method validation, brain and liver samples, collected during autopsies at the Institute of Legal Medicine Duesseldorf, were used. Sample data were anonymized prior to analysis.
