: The handling of bees in the conservation area NSG-7313-067 was performed with permission 42/553-254/475-21 by the SGD Süd, Neustadt.Osmia bicornis pupae were purchased from , WAB-Mauerbienenzucht, Konstanz, Germany. The experiments used larvae that had not been used in the field. For the environmental samples, O. bicornis individuals were used that had developed in the nest boxes with the purchased bees. The animals were handled with care.
