: Blood was collected by trained nurses from eight adults participating in the Microbi-A study. The study complied with the 1964 Helsinki Declaration and all subsequent revisions and followed the generally accepted norms of good clinical practices. The study protocol for Microbi-A was approved by the Ethics Committee for Health of Faculdade de Psicologia e de Ciências da Educação da Universidade do Porto (approval number 2020/12-01b). The signed informed consent of each participant was previously obtained. Immediately after collection, blood samples were centrifuged for plasma separation, which was frozen and stored at −80 °C.
