The research was approved by the Newcastle University Ethics Committee and the Bahamian Department of Marine Resources under permits MAMR/FIS/17 and MAMR/FIS/34A. No coral habitat was disturbed during this research. All fish were killed in accordance with the UK Home Office Scientific Procedures (Animal) Act. All samples were imported to UK under DEFRA permit TARP/2015/210.
