: No approval of research ethics committees was required to accomplish the goals of this study because experimental work was conducted with unregulated invertebrate species (scleractinian corals).
: Field research permissions were granted by the organizations undertaking individual projects within the umbrella project “Un Millon de Corales por Colombia” (1MC), complying with all relevant regulations. In Providencia, permission was granted by “Corales de Paz”, in Santa Marta by “Acuario y Museo del Mar Fospina SAS”, in Rosario Islands by “Oceanario Islas del Rosario”.
