: All samples used in this study were collected by the Projeto TAMAR Foundation under SISBIO collection permit no. 42760-25. Samples collected in the Parque Estadual da Ilha Anchieta, located in Ubatuba, were additionally registered in the Brazilian National System for the Management of Genetic Heritage and Associated Traditional Knowledge (SISGEN) under registration no. ABF1FB9. No animal experimentation was conducted as part of this study. Access to the genetic heritage generated by the sequences produced in this study was registered in SISGEN under registration no. A35AEA7, in compliance with Brazilian legislation.
