: No ethical approval was required since this is an observational study. The study was conducted following the guidelines and under the research permits issued by the Environmental Protection Agency (annually renewable permit: EPA/2021/PA-F01) and the Ministry of Fisheries, Marine Resources and Agriculture, Maldives (annually renewable permit: 30-D/PRIV/2021/190). The methods employed were non-invasive in nature with no harm caused to the animals involved.
