: Portions of the present work were undertaken and submitted in partial satisfaction of RHW’s Master of Public Health thesis requirement at Emory University Rollins School of Public Health. RHW is an employee at a law firm that specializes in complex product liability litigation. Certain partners at the law firm have been appointed to leadership positions in a multidistrict litigation (MDL No. 3140) in which certain manufactures of medroxyprogesterone-containing medications have been named as defendants. The firm is not currently involved in litigation associated with any other medications included in this study. The firm had no role in the concept, design or conduct of this study, did not have input on the contents of the manuscript and does not endorse the results or conclusions presented therein.
