: All experiments were performed in accordance with the official guidelines of EU Directive 2010/63/EU, and with permission from the Veterinary Administration of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Food of the Republic of Slovenia (permission no. 34401-4/2012/4, 34401-1/2015/7). Mice were housed in a specific pathogen-free colony at a constant room temperature with a 12 h light/dark cycle, and provided with food and water ad libitum. Prior to any experiments, mice were subjected to a quarantine period of 2 weeks.
: Six-to-eight-week-old female C57BL/6 mice were purchased from Envigo (Udine, Italy).
: The B16F10 murine melanoma cell line was purchased from American-Type Culture Collection, Manassas, VA, USA.
