: This study confirms the association among terminally differentiated lymphocytes and pro-inflammatory cytokines in patients diagnosed with lung cancer. Additionally, by the first time, the authors described the associations between EGF serum levels and memory CD4<sup>+</sup> T cells and memory B cells, opening a new avenue in EGF-associated cancer inflammation.
