: Animal experiments were conducted in accordance with The Harry Perkins Institute animal ethics guidelines and protocols, the National Health and Medical Research Council Australia Code of Practice for the Care and Use of Animals for Scientific Purposes (AE049). All mice were housed at the Harry Perkins Bioresources Facility (Nedlands, WA, Australia), maintained under standard specific pathogen free housing conditions, fed rat and mouse cubes (Speciality Feeds, Perth, WA, Australia) and housed on aspenchipsAB3 bedding (Datesand, Manchester, UK). All mice were caged in individually vented cages under 12-h:12-h standard light:dark conditions at 23.0 ± 1.0 °C (mean ± SD).
: Eight-week-old female BALB/c mice were obtained from the Animal Resource Centre (Murdoch, WA, Australia).
