: Data collection was purely observational and non-invasive, with focal scan samples in the field taken from a minimum distance of 10 m, in an effort to avoid influencing the natural behaviour of the individuals and populations. The research followed the recommendations of the Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act 1986, as published by the UK government, and the principles of Ethical Treatment of Non-Human Primates as stated by the American Society of Primatologists. Approval for this study was obtained from the Indonesian State Ministry for Research and Technology (RISTEK, 398/SIP/FRP/E5/Dit.KI/X|/2017).
