All animal handling, marking, and sample collection for this study was included in IACUC protocol 2685 and approved by the University of Colorado Boulder Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee. Work was also approved under Federal Bird Banding permit 23505, and the State of Colorado Department of Natural Resources and Colorado Parks and Wildlife Mammal and Avian Scientific Collection License 22TRb2005.
