: The study was covered under the Anatomy Act 14 of 1990 of the Malawi Government, regarding the use of human remains for teaching and research purposes. Since the bodies belonged to the Anatomy Division body donation program of the Kamuzu University of Health Sciences, no further ethical clearance was required.
