: This manuscript describes the experiments on the insect <i>Cerotoma arcuata</i>, a critical pest widespread in Latin America. Terrestrial invertebrates considered as agricultural pests, vectors of diseases, or biological control agents do not require any special authorization from the Brazilian Environmental Agency for Creation and Studies (INSTRUÇÃO NORMATIVA IBAMA No. 07, DE 30 DE ABRIL DE 2015). No other animal groups were used in this study.
