: A research permit was obtained from the National Council of Science and Technology and Innovation (NACOSTI) through Egerton University. Furthermore, permission to conduct the study in the area was obtained from the County director of veterinary services.
: A signed consent was obtained from all participants willing to participate in the survey. Humane handling of the animals for milk samples was done with the help of a veterinarian as well as consent of the camel owners.
: Interviews were conducted in locations that ensured privacy and maintained interviewees’ anonymity. Confidentiality and the anonymity of respondents were maintained.
