Declarations
:
: Permission to trap and mark water voles was given by the Norwegian Environment Agency.
: No further permissions or approval were needed. In Norway, simple identity marking does not require an ethical evaluation. Care was taken to handle the animals gently and release them as quickly as possible, in compliance with national ethical guidelines. Trapping and handling caused no mortality.
