: The patients in this study were participants in a prospective analysis enrolling patients who underwent CMR after acute STEMI treated with primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Multiple studies have been published so far from this group, but this is the first study that has systematically reported on comparing aspects on imaging with 2D echocardiography versus cardiac MRI in the acute period after myocardial infarction.
