The previous study described the introduction of the practice in our institution and reported the preliminary results with short-term follow-up and the results of a survey administered to the physicians. The current study is focused on the validation of this practice on lung biopsies and includes long-term follow-up and it analyzes also the “indeterminate” category. For the purpose of this study, we believed that it was necessary to include all the patients since we first introduced the routine radiology-pathology concordance assessment (July 2016).
