: Datasets were obtained from pre-existing data based on routine animal recording procedures; moreover, DNA sampling for all individuals was conducted using nasal swabs and no invasive procedures were applied. Thus, in accordance with the 2010/63/EU guide and the adoption of the Law D.L. 04/03/2014, n.26 by the Italian Government, an ethical approval was not required for our study.
