: Written consent was obtained from all patients’ parents or legal guardians before participation.
: Sample size was calculated using G-power 3.1.9.2 program, setting the type-1 error (α) at power at 80%. Results from a previous study (Abdulmecit Yavuz et al., 2020) showed that The SFR was 76% for the RIRS group compared to 94%; for the mini PCNL group ( p < 0.001). Calculation according to these values produced a sample size of 61 cases in each group (122 total). However, the study will include 65 cases in each group (130 total) to account for dropout cases.
