: The design and implementation of the ATTICA Study adhered to international ethical guidelines for medical research recruiting human participants, as articulated in the Declaration of Helsinki and its subsequent amendments. Additionally, ethical approvals have been obtained from the Bioethics Committees of the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (#017/May 01, 2001) and the Harokopio University (#38/March 29, 2022). All volunteers signed written consent prior to their enrollment, after being meticulously informed about the study’s objectives and protocols.
