Declarations
:
: Omda (Dermicus) provided the Image Enhancement tools and the teledermoscopic platform used in the study but had no influence on design, execution, interpretation of the results, or compilation of the article. Dermicus neither contributed funding to the study nor any kind of compensation to the authors.
: The study was approved by the Swedish Ethical Review Authority (no. 2020–04763, 2021 − 01817, 2021-05604-02). The retrospective design ensured that the assessments could not impact the care provided. The main ethical concern was a possible breech of integrity. To mitigate this risk, the study was performed within research platform embedded in the teledermoscopic platform provided by the Swedish South Heath Care Region and, thereby, the storage was highly secure and entailed 2-factor authentication and access only to participating researchers. Furthermore, each researcher was only able to reach their assigned cases, not the entire study cohort.
: A waiver from obtaining consent from the participants was omitted by the Ethical review authority as a part of the approval of the ethical review application.
: The only images included in the publication are dermoscopic and are deemed to be non-identifiable. Thereby, no consent has been obtained.
