: The DNA profiles of non-intimate samples (buccal swab) obtained from convicted criminals of any offense under any written law analyzed here were in pursuant to the Subsections 3(3)(c), 8(1)(f), 11(1) and 13(6)(b) of the Malaysian Deoxyribonucleic Acid (DNA) Identification Act 2009 (Act 699). Ethical approval (USM/JEPeM/19020136) was obtained from the Human Research Ethics Committee, Univeristi Sains Malaysia.
