: The human bone samples used for this research were obtained through the body donation program of the Department of Anatomy, Embryology and Physiology of the Academic Medical Center, Amsterdam University Medical Center (Amsterdam, the Netherlands), which is an accredited biobank (medical ethical approval nr. 2024.00676). The study was done in accordance with the Dutch Burial and Cremation Act (art. 67 Burial Act) and with the approval of the ethical committee of the department of Medical Biology, with informed consent of the donor for forensic taphonomic studies (in accordance with the declaration of Helsinki). Given the nature of donation to science, additional consent declarations and clinical trial number were not applicable.
