: This study demonstrates that the preferred perspective of a language influences how its speakers remember event roles (agents and patients), challenging the assumption that conceptual representations of event roles are universal across languages. This study offers new insights into the relationship of language and thought and has implications for legal settings of eyewitness testimony.
