Ethics approval: This retrospective cohort study was conducted in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki and applicable Dutch legislation. The study was based on existing, routinely collected, fully deidentified data obtained from Perined, the Dutch national perinatal registry, which contains linked data on maternal, obstetric, and neonatal outcomes in the Netherlands.In accordance with Dutch law (Medical Research Involving Human Subjects Act, WMO), ethical approval by a Medical Ethics Review Committee was not required, as the study involved secondary analysis of anonymized registry data, did not include interventions, and did not subject participants to procedures or behavioral rules.Individual informed consent was not required due to the retrospective design and the use of fully deidentified data.Data access was granted by Perined following approval of a formal data request.
