: Ethical and animal use approval was obtained from the International Livestock Research Institute’s (ILRI) Institutional Research Ethics Committee (ILRI-IREC), reference number ILRI-IREC 2019–20, and the animal care and use committee reference number ILRI-IACUC 2019–20, respectively.
