: Syrian hamsters (<i>Mesocricetus auratus</i>) were purchased from the Animal Facility of the ICG SB RAS. They kept one hamster at a time in a cage, with free access to water and rodent food pellets. Euthanasia was performed by carbon dioxide inhalation, and every effort was made to minimize suffering.
