: The studies involving human participants were reviewed and approved by the Ethics Committee of the Siberian State Medical University, Russia. Territories where sample (<i>O. felineus</i> metacercariae) collection (fishing) took place were neither conservation areas nor private, nor otherwise protected; hence, no fishing permits were required.
