: Artificial infection in sheep with third stage larvae (L3) of H. contortus from the anthelmintic-susceptible McMaster isolate (Kirby) was maintained at a private farm called “Se puede,” at Empalme Olmos, Uruguay, as we have previously described (Munguía et al. ). The animal protocol complied with Uruguayan Law No. 18.611.
