: This study was done on synthesis of CeO<sub>2</sub>-NPs using extract of <i>M. sapientum</i> peel. In following, cytotoxic activity of synthesized nanoparticles was performed using MTT assay against lung (A549) cell line. The lung cell line was prepared from Pasteur Institute of Iran. Therefore, this research does not require the approval of Animal Experimentation Committee.
