: This study was approved by the Institutional Review Board of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (Reference: KATH IRB/AP/082/23). The study was conducted in conformity with the Helsinki Declaration on Human Experimentation, 1964, with subsequent revisions, latest Seoul, October 2008. Prior to obtaining approval from the IRB of KATH, the study proposal was sent to the Oncology Directorate of KATH to assess for initial ethical issues. Following this process, an initial approval to conduct was obtained from the Oncology Directorate of KATH. Participants who expressed willingness to participate in the research signed consent forms, and a copy was given to them to keep. All interviews were audio recorded with participants’ permission. None of the participants declined being recorded in any of the interviews. Permission was requested from each participant to use their verbatim quotes. None of the participants objected to this request too. However, as part of this process, participants were made aware of their right to withdraw from the process at any stage without any harm to them. They were, however, assured of every effort to protect their confidentiality and anonymity.
