: This study was based on samples (skin tissue, nasal swab, whole blood, and serum) collected from cattle by qualified veterinarians as per standard practices, without use of anaesthesia, and submitted to the ICAR-National Institute of High Security Animal Diseases, Bhopal, India, for laboratory diagnosis of LSD and hence did not require any animal ethical approval.
