: The procedures, documentation, and analysis were performed in accordance with ethical guidelines and Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval at the authors' institution (IRB #16-65). All Ti IHAs post-retrieval were obtained from different patients attending a private periodontics clinic following standard clinical procedures in accordance with ethical standards of the institutional and/or national research committee and with the 1964 Helsinki Declaration and its later amendments or comparable ethical standards. The retrievals had no identifiers that could be linked to the patients who donated the IHAs.
: For this type of study, formal consent is not required as IHAs were retrieved from patients before the start of the study.
