: The FinnGeDi study included two study arms: register-based and clinical genetic. The entire FinnGeDi study protocol was approved by the Regional Ethics Committee of Northern Ostrobothnia Hospital District and the research ethics work group at the THL. The data of the register-based arm used in this study were based on THL-administered registers and the use of such data was approved by THL. According to Finnish legislation, informed consent is not required in register studies in cases in which participants are not contacted for the study. We confirm that all methods were carried out in accordance with relevant guidelines and regulations.
