: We conducted a systematic search using Medline/PubMed, Scopus, and DOAJ from 2010 to 2025. Keywords used included: "MAS," "systemic juvenile idiopathic arthritis," "macrophage activation syndrome," and "predictive markers." Boolean operators combined search terms: ("MAS" AND "sJIA") OR ("macrophage activation syndrome" AND "juvenile idiopathic arthritis"). Articles were filtered for English language and relevance to diagnosis and management. We screened 93 articles and included 19 relevant studies.
